Network Management System Engineer (m/f) 80-100%


to join our 2nd and 3rd line Customer Support engineering team, located in Berne Switzerland:

Your duties

  • You support our worldwide customers for our Network Management System (NMS). Our NMS manages our Access & Metro Network platform UMUX, XMC20 and MileGate providing Ethernet, Voice, Data, PDH and SDH applications
  • Design, engineering and realisation of the NMS solution for customers
  • Sales support for tendering and bidding
  • Contribution in evolving our NMS for future applications and services
  • Execution of workshops, proof of concepts and NMS trainings for our customers
  • Customer Support through our Ticketing system


Your profile

  • Telecommunication or IT Engineering and a minimum work experience of 3 years in Telecommunication or IT
  • Good understanding in the areas of IP routing, Ethernet, MPLS, Metro Ethernet, QoS, and Security
  • Very good knowledge on LINUX (RedHat): scripting (bash/python) and system administration
  • Troubleshooting flair
  • Experience on redundancy concept for NMS (Hot and cold Standby concept, Active/Standby Server switching), experience with VMWare is a plus
  • Experience with the NMS for Telecommunication equipments of other vendors
  • Experience and knowledge of Voice and Data, PDH and SDH is an advantage but not essential
  • Languages: very good skills in English and French (written and spoken) and good skills in German
  • Representative dealing with technically oriented customers
  • Willing and able to travel worldwide
  • You are a team player and have a high customer focus
