FTTC and FTTC with vectoring: Maxmise the performance of your copper lines

In FTTC architectures the optical fibre ends in a street cabinet. With VDSL2, data rates of 100 Mbps can be achieved – however only on short loops and with only a few VDSL2 subscribers in the cable. In the real world the far-end crosstalk between the copper wires with VDSL2 signals in the cable reduces the data rates, so that the theoretical value cannot be achieved.

Vectoring is the solution for the challenge as it compensates the crosstalk almost completely on all connected subscriber lines. This gives a significant boost to the achievable data rate.

IP-MSAN MileGate

IP-MSAN MileGate is a compact DSLAM with highest port-density. With it, up to 960 with vectoring extended VDSL2 ports can be provided out of one 8 HU subrack.
