KEYMILE will show its extensive portfolio of solutions for high-speed broadband access with the multi-service access platform MileGate at the Broadband World Forum from 21 to 23 October 2014 in Amsterdam. Various solutions will illustrate how network operators can provide the most suitable broadband services for business and residential customers.
At this year's Broadband World Forum in Amsterdam's RAI Exhibition and Convention Centre, KEYMILE will be presenting its versatile range of solutions on stand D48 that reflect its "because connectivity matters" slogan. The focus of the showcase will be the multi-service access platform MileGate, designed for highly flexible, reliable and future-proof FTTC/FTTB/FTTH expansion with one single platform. As a solution made in Germany, offering the best that technology has to offer, MileGate supports all broadband access via copper and optical fibre. It also provides all broadband technologies ranging from SHDSL to VDSL2 with vectoring to optical active GbE and GPON connections.
KEYMILE has in-depth experience, particularly where vectoring is concerned. Over the past two years, KEYMILE has been supplying network operators worldwide with VDSL2 vectoring technology. This summer KEYMILE topped the two-million mark of vectoring ports delivered. KEYMILE will be presenting a live demonstration of this vectoring solution with chip manufacturer Lantiq and revealing the compatibility with many manufacturers' devices in the Interoperability Pavilion at the Broadband World Forum.
In the future, KEYMILE will be opting for OSS-supported multi-provider vectoring which is very interesting – particularly for Germany. Together with Mainz-based telecommunications specialist GIP Exyr, KEYMILE will present a showcase for Software-Defined Access Networks (SDAN) called OSS-supported multi-provider vectoring. This concerns the virtualisation of the access networks (incl. DSLAM/MSAN functionality) to implement multi-provider scenarios. Similarly to the SDN (Software-Defined Networking) and NFV (Network Functions Virtualization) models, such as those that are gradually implemented in data centres and by cloud providers, access networks can also benefit from the advantages of separating control and data planes. Via virtual access, several providers can then supply their customers with fast broadband access via one vectoring platform.
Thanks to KEYMILE's innovative products that can easily be integrated into existing system landscapes, network operators can migrate their infrastructures to an all-IP world. MileGate combines performance, quality, design and innovation from KEYMILE's own research and development team. Full transparency with regard to development and production also closes backdoors for spying on data streams. This is an increasingly important factor in the current debate on data security.
