Broadband World Forum 201325. September 2013
KEYMILE will present its extensive portfolio of solutions for high-speed broadband access with multi-service access platform MileGate at the Broadband World Forum from 22 to 24 October 2013 in Amsterdam. MileGate provides technologies, ranging from ADSL2plus to VDSL2 with vectoring to active optical GbE connections, with a high level of port density.
KEYMILE is a leading technology supplier of access and transmission system communications solutions. The company will be displaying solutions for broadband connections via DSL paths and optical fibre lines at this year's Broadband World Forum in Amsterdam's RAI Exhibition and Convention Center on stand D37. The showcase will focus on multi-service access platform MileGate, developed for flexible FTTH/FTTB/FTTC expansion with one single system. MileGate supports all broadband access via copper wire and optical fibre. In the optical fibre segment, MileGate offers connections for active Ethernet (GbE-P2P) with very high port density and it enables flexible and cost-effective FTTx broadband expansion. ADSL2plus and VDSL2 with vectoring are available as DSL technologies.
KEYMILE delivers two vectoring architectures for different applications: a vectoring controller card and an integrated 96-port VDSL2/vectoring card in one board. Both types allow provision of 192 VDSL2 ports with system-level vectoring. The first solution is directed at network operators that wish to upgrade their existing VDSL2 services with vectoring. The second vectoring solution is targeted at network operators that want to tap into new areas via VDSL2 and equip these from the outset with vectoring so that they can offer their customers reliable bandwidths of 100 Mbps. KEYMILE is a pioneer when it comes to VDSL2 and vectoring. Across the world, customers are already operating over 1.5 million vectoring-capable VDSL2 ports which vectoring functions are applied to.
To provide vectoring functionality at an early stage, KEYMILE worked closely with its partner Lantiq, a leading chip vendor for broadband access technologies. This partnership enabled KEYMILE to supply vectoring-ready VDSL2 line cards at the beginning of 2012 already. These cards support the ITU-T G.993.5 standard that was only finalized in mid-2010.
Entry to the exhibition of the Broadband World Forum is possible free of charge after registering beforehand at www.broadbandworldforum.com.
