KEYMILE is a leading supplier of cutting-edge technology for communications solutions in access and transmission systems. The company has appointed Christian Haas as Sales Director for the Swiss market.
Swiss-born Christian Haas (45) is the new Sales Director for the Swiss market at KEYMILE AG in Bern. Christian Haas has more than 20 years’ experience on the telecommunications market. He started his career as a hardware development engineer. He subsequently took on a number of technical and sales responsibilities at home and abroad for Ascom AG and later on for KEYMILE. In addition to his new role, he will also continue to manage international partners as KEYMILE’s Director of Global Partner Sales.
One of Christian Haas’ new responsibilities is to position KEYMILE as a major supplier of solutions on the Swiss FTTH market (Fibre-to-the-Home). The headcount of the FTTH team will be increased so that the company can tap into this high-potential market better. In the FTTH segment, KEYMILE is focusing on its modular, IP-based optical access and aggregation platform MileGate. Because of its technical characteristics, high port density and management solution, MileGate is ideal for FTTH networks.
Christian Haas and his team also manage the transport, public authority and utility market segments. KEYMILE systems and solutions have been successfully applied for many years for reliable data transmission of application-critical information. They are used in networks belonging to railways and utilities, as well as in mobile and dedicated networks in Switzerland. The key factors for operators of dedicated networks are very high availability, robustness, durability, multi-service features, as well as reliable data transmission.
The FTTH market and dedicated networks are Christian Haas' two core competencies on the Swiss market. “I am excited by the new challenge at KEYMILE. With a highly professionally and bigger team I’m looking forward to boosting KEYMILE’s position on the Swiss market and at the same time capturing a share in Switzerland's FTTH market. With its extensive and technologically advanced portfolio, supported by the team, KEYMILE's in the best position to do just that”, says Christian Haas.
Commenting on the new appointment, Frank Krause, KEYMILE’s CSO, announces: “I’m delighted that we’ve been able to gain such an experienced person to take on this role. This new appointment will help us build on our good market position in our domestic market in Switzerland and continue to increase the high number of satisfied customers.”
