The generation of a UNEM license key requires the «Workstation Machine ID». This key is has to be entered in the «UNEM Licence Key Order Form». The form is sent to you on ordering a UNEM system by KEYMILE sales. You can also download it from here.
For UNEM under HP-UX the «Workstation Machine ID» is determined using the command «uname -i».
For UNEM under Red Hat Enterprise LINUX, the «Workstation Machine ID» has to be determined with the script «systemid». As user «root», download the attached file «systemid.tar (RHE Linux 3)» (for UNEM up to R8A) or «systemid_rhel4.tar (RHE Linux 4)» (for UNEM from R8B), extract the script «systemid» and execute it to determine the «Workstation Machine ID» of your LINUX machine.
If you operate more than one Ethernet interface under RHE Linux 4, execute «systemid» specifying the primary Ethernet interface, e.g. «systemid -i eth0». A corresponding entry has to be made in the UNEM configuration file (see under Installation in the UNEM System Manual).
