KEYMILE presents new functions for its Next-Generation Access platform MileGate.
KEYMILE will be on stand 262 at the Broadband World Forum Europe in Brussels (September 29 – October 2, 2008). Live in a Triple Play application, the company will show its Multi-Service Access Node MileGate that helps telecommunications companies to expand their networks so they are future proof.
KEYMILE, a leading manufacturer and supplier of Next-Generation Access systems, will be taking part as an exhibitor in this year’s Broadband Forum Europe. The event is considered one of the most important communications platforms for broadband technology with a focus on the European market.
In Brussels, KEYMILE will demonstrate new functions featured in its IP-MSAN MileGate. The new, integrated CESoP functions will enhance MileGate's capabilities in migration from TDM services to All-IP. With EFM (Ethernet-on-the-first-Mile), MileGate facilitates the provision of symmetrical business customer services via SHDSL.
The new CEOP1 card offers circuit emulation functions and enables the transmission of TDM services via the Ethernet/IP core network. As a result, it is easier for network operators to migrate their communications networks to an All-IP network: TDM services can still be offered, but are transmitted in the core network via Ethernet/IP.
With its new SUSE1 card, MileGate can now offer Ethernet-on-the-first-Mile for SHDSL data transmission too. SHDSL is particularly interesting for business customers, due to the greater transmission range and the ability to bundle several transmission wires (pair bonding). The EFM protocol makes Ethernet on the last mile available and therefore standardises the transmission protocol between subscriber and core network.
