KEYMILE appoints Rolf Unterberger as new CEO

30. June 2016

By beginning of July 2016 Rolf Unterberger will be taking over as CEO in the KEYMILE management team. He has extensive expertise in the area of mission-critical communication networks and will continue to drive KEYMILE's growth strategy.

As of July, Rolf Unterberger, as CEO, will be responsible for managing KEYMILE's operational business. He has more than 25 years' experience as an executive manager in various management positions, industries and countries. With his industry expertise in the field of mission-critical systems, he will add impetus to continuing KEYMILE's growth strategy in this area, implemented by Axel Föry. One of the focal points of this strategy is the development of close business relationships with other system integrators and partners.

Rolf Unterberger succeeds the former CEO Axel Föry, who will continue to work with the company in a advisory function. In his new role, Axel Föry will be focusing strategically on innovation and growth potential in the area of security and on the implementation of the business model for O-R-C-A-X, an open-source-based multi-service access node.

Rolf Unterberger has previously worked for Siemens, Accenture and the Austrian-based Frequentis AG, a company that develops communication and information systems for security-critical solutions. Together with the other two members of the management team at KEYMILE, CFO Jay Bratz and CTO Dr. Wolfgang Spahn, Rolf Unterberger will also focus on business growth in the area of security-critical systems.

"KEYMILE has a huge number of innovative technologies and products for which there is great demand on the market. This potential needs to be developed even further together with new system integrators and partners," says Rolf Unterberger.
